I already knew at a young age what I wanted to do later. I’ve always loved to draw and to be creative,
so after finishing school I began to study graphic design, to improve my drawing skills. Half way through
my studies I heard of the new Animation School Hamburg. I have always been fascinated by animation
and so I broke off my graphic design course to join the animation school. There I learnt all about how
an animation movie is done, a school where I further developed my drawing skills.
For the past 5 years I have worked as a freelancer for different projects in various animation studios
here in Hamburg. I started with clean-up and in-betweens and then moved on to design: turnarounds,
character posing and eventually character design, which I find is the most exciting work.
It’s wonderful to be creative without too many limitations or guidelines. But you simply can’t avoid them in animation
productions. Therefore i am eager to get more involved in concept design, to enjoy more creative freedom. I love designing,
whether I design characters or vehicles, whether I create a whole world or simply draw a gesture or expression.
Because of all that i decided to make this website so I can show what I’m capable of and what I have to bid.
I am always interested to know of any feedback or criticism, which will help me improve in the future.
